With your lighting + pressurized co2, you can pretty much grow anything you want! HC, blyxa aubertii and blyxa japonica will probably do fine. I have both blyxas in my tank with 2-3 wpg with DIY co2 + excel and they are growing fine. I haven't had luck with HC with 1-2 wpg at all. They just fall apart.

It's alright to leave all the plants right now. It's important to start with lots of fast-growing stem plants to keep algae at bay.

Another thing to be careful of is that fish stores sometimes sell plants that are not truly aquatic but are more terrestrial plants. These plants will survive underwater for a while, but will eventually die off.

When I first started, I got tricked into buying mondo grass .
