Skipton's Boston is going all fish

I was in Skipton's today and the cashier was talking to another customer. She said that she and another employee had just bought out the owner and they were going to convert the store to all fish, and open another pet store a few buildings away to house items for other pets.

That's funny. That other customer may have been me
I was there around 1:30 and the guy who helped me said that they are moving the "furry pets" down the street and going all fish in that building...
This was my first time there, I liked it...

Nope, wasn't you ... I heard it from a woman.

Should be nice though ... they have a pretty good selection already (though no dwarf puffers...)

Damn, makes me miss home even more. I wish I had a Skipton's or Tropic Isle down here.

Ok well I don,t know B , but I went to Skipton's on southampton street and I suggest to go there. Wonderfull selection, not the biggest place, but the fish selection is very good. I did try to buy an eheim classic and was told, " we don,t sell those cuz you can't buy them anymore. They don't make em". So I was like "hmmmmkay". I wanted to buy bulbs , but they said they don't have any 36 watt straight pin. So I'll buy fish there I guess. My favorite is still uncle ned's.

Hey we went to Skipton's yesterday before my fiancee dropped me off at the airport. They had a lot of nice selections for small community/nano fish, including sparkling gouramis, Norman's lampeyes, scarlet badis, apistos and several different little microrasbora things. There was a whole tank full of Norman's lampeyes. I wish that I had had some way to bring stuff home with me.

I also got the tip about the store move/expansion--sounds exciting.

went into skiptons yesterday to find out they have already begun the process. They were working on the reptile part in the back of the store. Hope to see alot more tanks! Also things that caught my eye were the roseline barbs for 12 ea. or 5/45 and the Celestial danios for 3.99 ea.

It's really coming along. They've increased their selection to include some interesting new apistos, for example. They got in a nice bunch of local-raised cherry shrimp and some gorgeous honey gouramis, btw. Also, they'll give store credit for flame moss, apparently.

Tried to stop by on Saturday, didn't realize it moved closer to the South Bay mall.
So a little FYI

Their aquatic section is still at the same location. The location that was closer to South Bay Center was probably just their dog and cat store.
