$25 for refill 5# while you wait at paintball wizard retail store in Tewksbury. Now also close to Unique Aquarium, where I picked up some beautiful pumpkin shrimp and some excellent colored boraras-brigittae last week.

yea im going through roughly 1 tank every 10 days which seems very fast. I think my regulator is broken or something is off. I tested the regulator, but it doesnt seem like there is a leak somewhere.

Ya that's fast!
My 5 lb , 3 tanks about 2 bps is about a month.

What are you using to diffuse the co2? I know some use more then other which will waste more then others.

It might be waste more then diffusing.

Are the bubble super fine?

I was using a regular ceramic one of my 55g and it was waste so much co2 I swap to a ista reactor and now use like half the bubble count on the tank but i have higher co2 levels

I agree with h4n. If you use a passive diffuser I would put it as low in your tank as possible and near a filter so that you have the best chances of dissolving the bubbles into the water, otherwise it's just going to float to the surface and be lost to the environment.

active diffusers take a bit more space but do a much better job of dissolving co2 into the water. I haven't tried any in-line active diffusers / atomizers yet but I hear they work quite well when plumbed into the output of a canister filter.

I get about 6 weeks out of my 5 lb tank.
Fluval ceramic diffuser, no bubble counter, cranked up as high as I can w/o seeing any CO2 get around my filter intake. Drops my pH from 7.8 to about 6.8. 125 gallon tank.
On a timer 8 hrs per day (two 4 hr blocks).

Wow. You swap often. A 5# lasts a good 3 months fr me. Sometimes longer. But I'm running it on a small 17g

Do you have a plastic ring washer between the reg and tank.

Also take apart the regulator and redo all the threads w sealing tape.

Could also be the tubing. There are some tubing that allow gases to permate through them.
