Fishing is one of my other obsessions. Heading out tomorrow morning to throw flies at stripers.

Sweet, dude.

Where do you go, North Shore? I've always wanted to fish the mouth of the Merrimack.

Never been to this place, but going to check it out later today.

Have some errands to run in the area, so we'll drop by the shop after lunch.

If there wasn't for that truck accident on I-93 overlooking the Leverett Connector would have dropped by there Thursday afternoon during the torrential rainstorms. What better time to browse a store than during a 4" downpour?

Wonder if they have any deals going on this "TAX free" weekend? I doubt it, but I look forward to what they might have on hand.

I'll post a update later, but it'll be much LATER this evening around 9pm-11pm EST.
  • BTW, about 24 HOURS from NOW.....Sunday August 11th, 2013..... we'll be in downtown Boston to check out this "annual" event where 10,000 spectators should show up during the day.

  • Located 3-4 blocks from South Station in Boston. Family & kid friendly... Pets probably should be left @ home for this.

  • Make it down on your calender & check it out if you have time. The opening ceremony starts @ 10am & ends at 5pm. Look or listen for the crowds/noise.

All streets around the event will be blocked OFF, so your best best is to secure parking around the commons or the Financial district & walk over.

  • Note: At the top of EVERY HOUR, I can meet members of this forum @ the "Front Gates" in between the pair of white marble statues if anyone wants to chat/trade items. Or wants a brief tour of the businesses in the area.

Have a happy fun filled Saturday!!!!!

Also on another note.....Sunday evening there's several "Breaking Bad" cookouts for the premiere of the final episodes. Location is yet to be determined but should start @ 7pm, ends around Midnight maybe 1am.

Surprised you couldn't find any rocks there. Plenty to chose from and most areas are pretty well organized.
  • They currently have a lot of their T5HO light fixtures seemingly @ half priced right now. Coralife/Currant Satellite/GLO Kits, etc...

  • Owners are extremely friendly, same with their employees & will answer any and all questions you may have.

  • Easily over 25 customers in there at one point while I exploring....
I managed to leave there without burning a giant hole in my pocket.

Anyway.... off to Boston now on this glorious "tax FREE" Sunday

We've decided that we're going to be at the "event" for 2 hours, then shopping, maybe beach then "Breaking Bad" cookout.

I'm wearing a Black "military style" jacket, Black Salomon Pants, & NEON red shirt of some sort.

Their rocks are all odd colors. There's none that are gray, besides the lace rocks.

Their petrified wood is very nice tho. I brought a few of them. But they are heavy! at 3.99 a lb and small one the size of my fist is $10 =/

This is good to know, I am planning on going there sometime next week after my tank cycles. I have been to Ned's a few times and can't say enough about them and their wisdom. I am heading there this weekend to pick up more plants and they are going to adopt my shubunkins which is an added bonus.

RoRoRo....... When you use the term... "There" = are you referring to LovelyPets or UncleNed's?

BTW, anyone who lives in the Cambridge/Somerville [Harvard/Davis/Ball Square] area....
  • Location = Wilson Square in Somerville MA.
  • 75G tank (Black Trim). COMPLETE setup with 9 fish (Angels & a parrotfish).
  • $500 total in equipment. Seller Bill, wants $100 for EVERYTHING.
  • Stand is made out of some sort of metal plumbing pipe.
  • Tank & hood is "Black" plastic NOT the "faux wood".
  • Seller Bill is moving out of Boston NEXT Friday, August 30th.

Note: You will have to supply the manpower & vehicle to remove the tank.

Send me a message if you want his contact info.

But i did see that they now have manzanita driftwood! they look pretty nice too, butttt slightly pricey. Saw a giant one for about 60 bucks? but its pretty big probably will fill up a 40b, or 55.

soo if you are looking for some and don't want to get it shipped! new option!

Now, anyone got pretty rocks i can buy? dont make me go all the way to aquaful (because i will probably buy things i should not buy right now! need to finish my rack first!)

I checked out a garden shop and found these pieces of white marble. Wanted white to contrast with black substrate and black background.

You'll have to wait till Han decides if he wants the tank.

I gave him the number that day I mentioned the 75G, but not sure if he called the guy yet.

If Han hasn't jumped on it, Bill probably sold it already.

If you're interested, send me a pm I'll give you Bill's (seller's) phone number.
