Did I miss out on this one? Or is it happening in July?

Hi Olive - the meetings are awesome - there's generally a speaker followed by an auction -- but if you are in Providence, you should check out the TFSRI (Tropical Fish Society of Rhode Island ) www.tfsri.net - similar meetings, often many of the same people go to both (last nights speaker has been a TFSRI member for decades), much closer to your location (Rumford / East Providence - right near the Rumford Pet Center actually)

both clubs rock

for the folks who made it last night - how was it ? I couldn't get away, but I wanted to - Tony T is one of the most knowledgeable fish people I've ever met and he's not shy about sharing his opinions or experience.
(and he's an amazing photographer)

I'm actually planning on going to the TFSRI meeting tomorrow night! I'll check out Boston next month with the auction.

That double rainbow was hella awesome. Full semi circles from horizon back to horizon, and super bright. And yesterday's meetup was also really cool. I always learn so much from those talks, and I got my Killifish!

And Tony T. is truly inspirational. His talk was about collecting fish in native waters and the different native killifish, sunfish, shiners, darters, and other fish he would search for. It was pretty cool, the information he knew about about state laws, population variations, and different techniques of catching/finding the fish. Nice talk.

The talk was amazing and really enjoyable. He traced his trip from Alabama back to the MA while showing us how, where and what he caught along the way. Some of these fishes are sooo beautiful, i cant believe they are not more popular in the hobby.

I also got super excited when my least killifish showed up on screen =D

Man, I kinda wish I had gone... Though I stayed home and siliconed a custom build and oogled the double rainbow, so my night wasn't completely wasted.

There were very little to the auction because of the rain. I think there were 1 native kilifish. They raffled off 6 rainbow shiners tho, Eric won them lol.

There's usually cherries, I might bring some too, if my cherries are big enough, they are about 1/2 inches now. Sometimes there is crs and yellow.
