Heat is definitely a reason why I just got rid of my shrimps. Now I have two empty tanks, the crabs and an algae farm. I've been really busy with life lately, sorry that I've been MIA.

I'm heading to Alaska this week for the rest of the month...leaving the fish, gecko, and tortoise under the care of my parents.

I'm getting a bit nervous about moving my tanks back to Boston this coming August. Should be interesting at best. Man the betas hate being in the cups in the cup holder of my truck...

Basement windows do get tricky. Portable is always an option

Portable is the only option. My basement windows are tiny. I think I'll just plan on shrimp tanks in the living room this year and higher temp tropicals in the basement. I'll pick up a portable AC either in the fall or in the spring.

Not the only option. You can get fancy drill and plumb your tanks to a sump running it through a chiller
