Northampton MA. Been keeping fully planted tanks since about 1995.

Aquaview is a good shop. I used to shop at Exotic in Hadley but they've changed since the move.

I have, at times, been a member of PV Aquarium Society.

Hey yall, been looking for ways to find other hobbyists in my area and came across this thread I'm in Worthington, MA.

Love Aqua View, Exotic Fish and Pet tends to be pretty rude and gives out false information, Dave's is just horrible... usually make the drive all the way to School of Fish in Indian Orchard for anything Aqua View can't provide.

Been wondering if I should make the effort to join PVAS...

Not new to this forum, but just become a member. I think I saw quite a few people I know. Hello to everyone. This is Yoyo, from Aqua View Design. Hope I can see more people from western mass doing planted tank and share about it here.

I might be coming to visit your store soon. I recognize you from AB but never knew you had a store. I've got family/friends in the North Hampton/Longmeadow area, so I would've been in long ago had I known!

Hello from Easthampton! I love Aqua View. Exotic in Southampton is okay enough for fish, but not as good as Aqua View in the plant department.

Checking in from Northampton, MA. Quite a few of us here -- we should do a plant swap or something.

Aqua View is excellent for plants and fish. If you can deal with the lack of organization, Fish Frenzy in Ludlow, MA has very healthy fish. Some plants, but nothing exotic.

I'd agree with Entomodonata on Fish Frenzy, their tanks and specimens looked very healthy, but man what a mess! Personally, I can't deal with it, lol.

I'd also agree with the idea of a plant swap... maybe we could all meet in or around Aqua View some time

Fish Frenzy has gotten better over the last few months, and the owner Ed is a wealth of knowledge, both freshwater and salt. Sadly, nowhere near organized.

One way to get started on the plant swap idea is to either create a new thread or have everyone interested here list what they have to offer?

I don't see why not, Albany is just as close to Springfield as Boston is...

I also like Aqua View. Aubie and I love going to all sorts of aquarium stores. Aqua View is one of our favorites. That is if they are still speaking to me after my female apisto killed their male after a failed breeding attempt!

Oooh, you're right down the street from the Calvin Theater! I was debating on driving to Northhampton to see City and Colour play in a couple weeks.. If only I could keep goodies in my car.. I may have to stop in and check out the plants .
