Hey there, I'm the owner of Aquaful, Anthony. I don't really want to or like to write posts like these but I feel that there needs to be some clarification from my end in response to some posts in this thread.
Yamaya stone and Ryuoh stone look completely different from Seiryu stone. There are characteristics that completely separate each stone, which is why each one has its own name. You can do any testing that you want but where I sourced the stone from is where ADA used to get the stone from. I'm actually a retailer for ADA products.
Here are some actual photos of the seiryu stone that I have left:
As for the pricing on the $599.99 64G 120x45x45 Mr Aqua tank, compare it to an ADA 120P at approximately $1200. I hope that comparison makes the price seem a lot more fair. Tanks of these size are actually very expensive just on material costs. The glass needs to fairly thick to not bow and to be safe. I price to compete with online stores which often have the best price. I've had customers tell me that other local stores are selling the MA-730 12 gallon long for $109.99 when I'm selling it for $79.99. I'm selling seiryu at $5.99 a pound because it's $5.99 a pound online, without shipping included, and you don't usually get to see what you're buying. I hope that this makes things sound a bit more fair.
I know that other stores have ridiculous mark ups due to greed or other factors that have hurt the image of local stores. That's why I started a store of my own, to make keeping a nice modern looking aquarium affordable. I actually keep my store afloat with my dayjob, and I'm the only "employee" so I don't need to mark up anything. I try my best to price things competitively and fairly and if I can't get it at a good price (because I'm a small store and bigger stores get bigger discounts) I just tell my customers where they can order it from for cheaper.
Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss this further I don't want to pollute a great forum like this with any back-and-forth. I just really hope that we all stay open-minded and considerate.
My aquatic store is a passion first and a business second.
