Are you talking to me? If so, I am breeding them (like crazy!) in a little 3 gal. Mr Aqua desk top tank.

Before the great Metaframe incident, I kept cherries and tigers in a 15 gal., then a 40 gal. At one point I had well in excess of 1000 each.

They have been funding my hobby for a couple of years now.

See my post above. The colony is in a little 3 gallon tank. I have *really* good luck with shrimp. Every four or five months I can sell off a couple hundred and not miss them.

I got your PM and replied.

Yeah, they were a little packed in. I am including juvies in that number.

I sold a bunch to UA before Christmas when I brought my tank home. We stopped counting at 200 and the guy still took 3 or 4 more nets full out.

There is nothing in the tank other than substrate, a small piece of driftwood, a small anubias, and some java fern.

I was at UA yesterday and they have plenty of your cherrys there. Does he give you 1/3 of the $4 he sells them for? I would figure stores only buy cherries for like 50 cents but I heard the kid saying they give 1/3 store credit for trade ins. Anyways, they also had some nice sunkist orange neos and crystal reds not for sale. Rich is a really good dude and setting up a really nice store that should be nice and a great north shore fish store. ANd did I mention its right next to the beer and wine hobby store. 2 birds with one stone there.

I am not sure of the per shrimp cost. We pretty much talk about tanks and talk price at the same time. Rich doesn't low-ball me and I just ask him to add to my credit.

There were stores in the past that I would sell to for $0.50 per, but they would take 100 or more at a time. Stores that would only take 20 or 30 paid $1 each.

Rich has some great ideas for the f/w set-up. I can't wait until the finishing touches are done.

None right now. I lost my tiger population last year. I am currently looking for something interesting that won't hybridize with cherries.

Keep us updated on that Peter. I keep cherries also and am looking for the same thing. Though I was leaning towards OEBTs
