Well there are certainly plenty of safe areas in my tank, but I don't want to have to sit in front of my tank and watch them chase each other in and out of all these hiding places all day. I used to keep African Cichlids and they were more stress than relaxation because I'd keep worrying that they'd kill each other (and they often would).
I don't know if I want the aggressive actions of breeding going on in this tank. I might try to breed these things someday, but in a different tank. I might just get a few male Triple red Cacutoides and that's it.
What do you mean that the rubberlip pleco was the only tolerated tankmate? What other fish were unsuccessful as tankmates?
