Never got a chance to see that store. I still miss Tropical Fish World in Gaithersburg.

Man that sucks...I went there to get blackworms for my Bee gobies there...guess I'll have to take a monthly trip to Lancaster to get them now...thankfully my worm keeper keeps them alive for a few months.

ARGH! I'm so upset!!! I didn't find out until about 3 hours before they shut their door! I've heard good things about House of Tropicals: http://www.houseoftropicals.net/
Does anyone have any experience with them? It's a LOT closer than PA!

House of Tropicals is my favorite, although it's about an hour away for me, so not as close as Exotic Aquatics. They have a bigger selection of tanks as well as fish pong equipment, and they have more reptiles and small mammals. I'm still really bummed out about Exotic Aquatics, though! I didn't know this until I read this thread! I was just there a couple of weeks ago and had no idea they were closing!

That Pet Place is an amazing store, it boasts itself as The Largest Pet Store in the World offering over 110,000 square feet of supplies and pets.

I dont know about the world... but the store is huge.

It's like every LFS is closing in Maryland. I really miss Scales. There'll never be another like it.

Arrow Exotic Aquatics gone - Yup!

EA was great as long as you blocked out some of the attitudes. Too bad they're gone it was convenient and they carried what I needed up until the last 5-6 months.
I now go to Tom's Tropicals 9020 Belair Road Baltimore, MD 21236
(410) 256-0330
They have a limited but wide selection, not sure of SW since I don't have.
The drive is worth the trip just to check out the taxidermy shop in the rear of the store.
