I decided to just go for it. Rinsed in hot tap water until it smelled like nothing but water. Got it all set up by about 9 last night. It's 12:30 now. I'm getting 1 bubble per 1.5 seconds now! SO COOL!

I figured boiling was overkill, but I tend to specialize in overkill. You should see how many wall brackets I have on my ghetto light fixture.

Now if I could just figure out why my heater set at 77 keeps the tank at 80, I'd be all set. Time for a new heater, I think.
