ROAK

I have extra Red Ramshorns, these have a gold shine to the tops of their shells. I've been culling / raising for two years now and they breed true. Great part of my cleaning crew.

Please PM by Friday.

If anyone has any frogbit or some other floating plant they'd like to part with or sell, let me know.

Does anybody have any red root floaters? I would like to give these a try.
I'm also going to be picking up some anubias (any kind) at the swap. If anybody has some they want to sell let me know.
PM if you do.

Thanks

Hey everyone,

I've been lurking on this site for ~6 months and I love it. Its helped me a ton and I'm trying out dirt tanks now... Anyway, this will be my first time going to a swap meet and I'm probably looking for low light low tech plants or some cool shrimp.. What are the prices like? Do the vendors negotiate or make deals? Is it cash-only or will they take credit cards?

Thanks!

Most will. Always good idea to buy multiple things if you want to play lets make a deal. Use common sense when negotiating.

As DogFish said, the prices are pretty fair. There is a Shrimp guy who has some killer looking RCS for $1 each. They look along the lines of Sakura grade, if not a little higher. Well worth the $1 each. He also has a ton of other shrimp as well. I'd recommend hitting him up for shrimp.

Plant vendors are scattered throughout. Look at the Swap Meet post and check out the vendor list. I'm also about to post the Swap Layout so you know where the people are who you are looking for.

For basic low light plants I've had good experience with John Hoernig. He usually has a couple of bin full of bagged anubius, common crypts, italian/american vals, small swords, watersprite etc. His prices are reasonable and negotiable.

There seems to be more and more sellers selling plants every time I go.

Unfortunately I won't be bringing anything, but will be there Sunday morning. Looking forward to talking plants and fish before they open up!

I'm normally not looking for anything in particular when I go, I just stroll around and see what everyone has. But it's nice to have in case you want to find a particular vendor who is holding something for you that you prepaid for.

No, I don't ruin movie endings since my wife and I hardly every go to see movies. (I know you're just giving me a hard time, don't take my response the wrong way)

I'm also still up in the air about coming out on Sunday. What I REALLY want is a 29G BioCube HQI, but very doubtful it will be at one of these events

I know this one is a long shot but I'm pretty sure my agassizii's are both females. If anyone has a male available I'd love to buy him or even trade one of my females.

I also have some pennywort that I'd be willing to part with. Would trade for almost anything.

Willing to provide pics if needed
