I live in Sunrise, about 1/4 mile from Big Al's, and they do have a great plant selection as well as a guy who's really knowledgeable about plants. Other than that, though, there's only the Petco, Pet Supermarket, and other aquatically challenged pet stores.
I am very interested in knowing other local people who are planted tank enthusiasts, so if anyone is interested in started some kind of meetings, I would be up for it. I live in Broward, though, on University just below Commercial.
