Losing fish, no obvious reason
I have a 36 gal planted tank that has been established for a couple years now. I have lost very few fish in that time. It is stocked with a larger gourami, a fairly large placastomus (sp?) and about 12 (now) smaller schooling type fish of which 9 are new last week.
I've lost my red finned shark fish (who I've had for 8 years) and three smaller fish in the last week.
I've been adding a lot of plants lately...
I restarted my co2 tank after about two months of not using it recently...
I've started dosing again (dry ferts) after about two months of neglect...
So obviously there have been some major changes recently, and I was wondering what I might do/check beyond an extra water change.
Maybe it was sharkys time to go, but with the other fish dying, I'm wondering if there might be a virus or something. There are no visible signs of disease on the fish.
Amonia is 0
nitrate is 20-30 ppm
ph is ~7.3
That's all I test for as of now...
Thanks for your help!
