For shopping purpose, I will say Petland. Their prices are most reasonable on the island, and selections are quite good. But they don't really have plant shipment enough to keep their plant stock full. So better call before going.

For Aquascapes, as say before, the price is big rip off. But their knowledge in plant is not necessarily worth the additional price. When I just started the hobby, I visited them couple times and do learn quite a bit from the chats. But after I got more into it and read more online, I realize not all they said were right. (One thing I remember is that DP is perfectly safe with tetra, which I got and end up harassed down my whole group of neons... newbie times ~) Given the additional charge, I do expect more than that, especially when compare to the service/knowledge you get when shopping in Petland, the difference is not that huge. But if you don't want to spend too much time researching and prepared for pay double for the service, they might work for you.

Enough already all dis comparison. All dis over where fish keeper can buy jungle Val's???

Anyways it's available at Koolau pets still for 2.95 I was just there this evening.

Petland doesn't always have the best service. But they have Scott. That's their plus. Aquascapes won't always have the best service. We're all human. Cut the crap man.

Price wise? U get what u pay for. And if you pay enough attention Petland is MORE THAN JUST FISH so they can charge a bit less as where off buying something at aquascapes may cost more but at least u know you're getting stuff from people who stand by nothing but aquarium goods. So get over all dis comparison crap.
