Ok so I did all the prep on the new drift wood "mopani" boiled 3 times and soaked for 2 weeks. Still getting a little tanic acid and the white slime. My question is ...will the white slime cause some general cloudiness to the water.

I have not noticed mine ever clouding the water, but I have always boiled mine tons of times, you pretty much will always get the white slime, if you use some hydrogen peroxide in and a dropper ect and squirt it it will make it go away faster, and if you have not heard of it, you can use purigen to keep the tannins well the color anyways out of the water

It is cycled. Everything was properly cleaned there is just this constant slight cloudiness. I am new to the freshwater hobby but have done a lot of reef stuff. I am used to crystal clear water. Is the slight cloudiness normal. Water is testing perfect across the board.
