Live food culture and DIY food
At the March meeting of the Colorado Aquarium Society, we will ave a guest speak on how to "make your own fish food". Also, we have a presentation on culturing live foods. We will have vinegar eels, microworms, grindle worms, black worms, brine shrimp, etc., available at the meeting. We will be covering a lot of different fish food topics and we will have a lot of starter cultures of various live foods available for you to take home. So do a little reading on vinegar eels, micro worms, and grindle worms, as they are the easiest, and the most useful in my opinion, then come to the meeting ready to take some home.
You can't get that at your local fish store!
Plus we will have the regular mini-auction (last time there were 20 bags of fish and plants) and door prizes.
So put Friday, March 1st, on your schedule! Our new meeting place will be the meeting room at Piccolos's Restaurant, 3463 S. Monaco Pkwy, Denver, one block S of Hampden on Monaco. In the King Sooper center at the S. E corner of Monaco and Hampden, just East of I-25. 7:30 p.m. To 9:00
Everyone is welcome, members, guests and interested visitors!
If you are interested in a live food culture to take home, let me know in advance which one, and I will put your name on one. I am afraid we may run out, even though I am collecting empty bottles and making cultures like mad.
