Last night's meeting was so good I'm fired up to try to reach more people.
If you can design it then do it. You can send it to Ryan and he can print it out. I would print it out but black ink is so out(), but if needed I will

We should hit up all of the LFS's and see if they'll let us leave flyers and/or business cards w/ holder.
Exotic Aquarium, Capitol Aquarium, Fish Planet, Aqua World. We could also hit up Pet Cetera in Davis if anyone is going to be around there, or going by. They aren't a real big store, but a lot of locals go there as it's the only fish store in Davis, besides Petco. It wouldn't hurt to leave something at Petco and Petsmart as well. Maybe in their fish department, to try to narrow our audience a bit.
I enjoyed last night's meeting as well We could try having someone research a topic and/or bring things to show to the group, ideas, etc.
I could try to talk about methods of Co2 dissolution if needbe. I have a PVC reactor that worked great but isn't being used right now that I could bring in to show. There's also the diffusers (ADA, Rhinox) that work well. I could bring in my Rhinox 5000 for people to look at "in person", so they can see before they buy if they're unfamiliar with it. Tom Barr has used the Venturi method, which I am totally unfamiliar with, but could do some research.
If you're reading this and have not been to one of our meetings, I advise you check it out. We bring plant clippings and journals, etc to share at every meeting. It will also allow you to ask questions or get insight to methods, equipment, etc that you need help with or want clarification on. We don't bite either!

We should have a meeting on certain Aquascaping aspects such as Iwagami(spl), Wabi Kusa, etc. It would really open up peoples minds on what they can do with Aquatic Plants. Also on how to maintain the these scapes.

That would be great as we need to get the word out.

I was also thinking we should have a more organized meeting instead of asking what should be done next . For example here is a schedule that may or may not work as we grow(This is just an example and can be altered by anyone that may see fit to change it):

1H-Speaker/Questions For Speaker
30M-General Plant Talk
30M-Scheduled Event
30M-Plant Swap

Also the plant swap should be more organized, for instance we can have every one lay the plants out on a clothe and instead of taking he whole bag take a few stems. I beieve Ryan had mentioned this last night. We should also Have the Magazines(at least one) up right to show what it is instead of all lying down. These are just my thoughts. If Im not mistaken have we decided to go on Tuesdays at 6 pm?

Is Wednesdays @6pm (once a month) going to be the regular meet-up time?

It's tough to get there right after work... that's why I am wondering.

Also, RE: demonstrations
Is Round Table cool with us using their place or did you guys already arrange for another place/ room?

I'm goin from plastic to planted

The Meeting for May is probably going to be Tues @ 6:00. At least that's what we concluded at the meeting last night.

Also we having been toying w/the idea of having it at the classroom in Fish Planet at some point.

I actually have never seen/heard of the classroom at Fish Planet. Do you think they'd let us use it? What exactly do they have there? I would think that a room w/ pizza and beer is better than a cold, sterile classroom. But then again, we can go gawk at fish and brown, dying plants afterwards...

Yes, for all the banter and $ spent setting that up, you'd figure they'd have a clue about plants............

Yes, I agree that's one scary neighborhood! My DH won't even let me go to Jo Jo's after a certain time!
