Pettown Tropical Fish Closing

Just to let you all know Pet town tropical fish in Lake Forest is closing tomorrow, and it will be their last day maybe stop by if you need to pick something up everything was marked off 50% on tuesday so maybe there might be some stuff left possibly... They have been around for 20+ years and it is going to be a great loss (since my dad moved around the area). Now the closest decent LFS is about 30-45 min drive now from where I live. What a loss =/

Petown, as well as other stores in the area seem to have been bought out by some commerical firm. That particular area of Lake Forest is undergoing major redevelopment, and I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the city is installing major box retail stores to promote economic growth. All this information is based on speculation from other stores closings in the area. In my experience, usually when this happens, stores like Walmart get built in the area.

That whole mini-mall area is being redone. Too bad, as that was the best place nearby for unusual/rare livestock. Never did take plants seriously enough IMO. Oh well.

The two brothers are not going to reopen the store. Since the rent was going to be tripled from what they were paying.
