sacramento/san francisco LFS

Hello northern Californians, I'll be back and forth between these two cities at the end of june and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me about any good LFS where I can pick up some choice plant material and shrimp before I fly back to the midwest. I fly out of Sacramento but I will be in San fran the day before so I could at least pick up some plants there. Shrimp I assume I will have to get hours before we fly out in Sacramento.

thanks

You are in luck, check this place out, they have a very nice plant selection and knowledgable staff.

This place looks fantastic. Must be nice for all you that are local to just go to the store to buy some nice plants other than anacharis or hornwart.

Thanks for the info.

Albany is a little far if you mainly want to stay in the city.
The only place worth making the trip if you are looking for a good variety is Ocean Aquarium. Its a small place but you will not be disappointed in the selection. Report back and tell us how you like it!

Thanks Marc, I will check out both places. I'll have a car and with inlaws living in both places it shouldnt be a problem getting around. I'm sure I will have nothing but good things to say about the stores.

thanks

If you have a car and the extra time- Albany is also worth the trip. You will have to take the bay bridge over there- about 15-20 mins drive from the city.
