San Luis Obispo / Central Coast ???

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone here is from the San Luis Obispo / Central Coast area. I would like to be a part of a group or club dedicated to planted tanks. If you don't know of one then I would love to start one.

Anybody out there?

I'm in Santa Maria. There was/is a reef club, but I don't know of any dedicated to planted tanks.

Planted tanks are all about shrimp.

Well....Santa Maria is about an hour away. I know about Centralcoastreefers.com. I'm still a member. They have a couple of people on there in to planted tanks. I'm just looking for a decent group of people that I can share the hobby with. One of the greatest things about that club is they get together once in awhile to swap frags and stories while throwing down some burgers and beer.

i go to santa maria often and know at least one person in the area into plants. you should start one even if its just a couple people at first. i would go if i was in the area when you had the meet. i would suggest signs at a couple of the lfs as well.

In SoCali? Looking for fish plants equipment? want to learn something about the hobby?

I am moving back to Arroyo Grande from VA in May, would love to see what we could get going. I am a hobbiest web developer as well. I could host a site for free . . . .

I'm a bit south in Santa Barbara but this could be interesting. The LFS here don't have too much in the way of plants and none are very knowledgeable, so it would be nice to see what others are doing in the area.

I'm from los osos, I'm 18 though and I'm not sure how these things operate or how I would participate. but I'm in the area and can drive anywhere between Paso through Santa Maria.

Born and raised in SLO. Currently in the Monterey area, and there is only one other person that I meet up with who is in to planted tanks. We have talked about starting a club around here.... just not many people (that we know of).

My dad and I lived in Os for a bit. Nice to see some people from the Central Coast on here.

Not sure if you all are familiar with it but I used to visit this little place called Cal Poly SLO. Actually visited it nearly everyday for 4 years straight.
