So I have my 3D background ready to be painted with drylok but I'm not sure if any type of acrylic paint can be mixed with the drylok. Anybody know? The hardware stores here don't sell colored concrete dye.
Drylok claims on the label it can be tinted. Did you already buy the drylok? The hardware or paint store you buy it from should be able to tint it any color you want. If not just ask for plain old paint tint and do it yourself.
I actually called the company for my own project. The guy said that the integrity of the sealant could be compromised with certain additives, and that even if you get the color mixed at Home Depot or the like, they can only add so much before the surfactants mess with the drylok.
I, myself, just decided to go the concrete route to save myself from having to worry.
