Tall & narrow specimen plant?

I am planning on setting up a planted 12" x 12" x 24" tall 15g planted tank with CO2, Aquasoil and light anywhere between low to very high.

I want to find a tall plant that stays narrow(no runners) to have as a single specimen plant in the center of this tank with a possible ground cover below it. Water parameters can be whatever as I want to base the contents of the tank around the specimen plant.

I had thought of using Crinum calamistratum but I think I would prefer to have that in the 60 cube I am setting up so it would have more room to grow.

Definitely like the Aponogeton crispus 'Red'

Also drawn towards some of the finer leaved red Rotala.

All three of the planted tanks I am putting together will have white backgrounds so the red will really pop against it and look good with a light green ground cover.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. They are much appreciated.
