Plant ID

I received about half a dozen of this stem plant and I'm not quite sure what it is. Can anyone help me out?

That MIGHT be L. sessiflora (one i). Could also be L. indica, L. heterophylla or a few others. You just can't tell from submersed plants.

Only one (I)? Everywhere online has it spelled wrong then including your site.

You can also call it a Federal Noxious Weed, illegal to bring into or through the U.S. or transport across state lines without a Federal permit. If it is L. sessiliflora, it will very quickly out-compete everything in your tank. I received a couple of stems as a freebie one time and loved the stuff ... until I really, really didn't.

I didn't notice that either. 2 (I)'s not 3
