OK, here's one for you serious plant experts out there.
I'm using a 2" paper clip to help you judge size and scale.
Any educated guess to what this long stuff could be?
I have been growing a sample of Eleocharis parvula I got from Wolf 6 Months ago.
It grows painfully slow, but it will eventually make a nice uniform grass carpet
if I space out the plantlets every few Months.
I got another grass sample a few weeks ago that I collected in a NJ stream
It's root system and blades look EXACTLY like EP, however it spreads much
faster than EP and unlike EP, does not stop growing tall at 2" in my tank
This Jersey grass grows at EP's density, but set it apart to aid it's spread.
I do not think this is an immersed grass, as
this is soft and there is no sign of plant rot.
sorry about my lousy 3mp camera reflections
Notice how EP curves in a slight arc, while
the Jersey grass grows into a slight spiral,
which sways gently in my water current.
