Tall plant ID

the long and tall plant was one of my first plants I have ever grown... Not sure what it is though? Someone told me it's an "onion" plant....

Looks kinda like crypt spiralis.

Whats at the base? bulb or rhizome?

Can you see if its a dark, furry bulb or a light, smooth bulb?
