Plant ID's (2)

I think the first one was not labelled correctly at my LFS.

The second moss or algae grows only on that rock. At night it shrinks and has holes, then spreads out when the lights are on.

It is very controlled so I think there is a nice balance for it.
Plus it looks awesome on the rock.

No, blue green algae is like, worse than BBA.

It's one of those things that, when you see it, burn it with fire.

Rotala sp. "Pearl" type 1. Im not sure if it can survive low tech conditions though.

Blue green algae... That is probably one of the worst types of Algae, just gets everywhere and keeps coming back! I'd get rid of it ASAP

blue green algae is not really an algae but a bacteria and almost always related to not enough circulation in the affected area. proxide will kill it if you spot treat it. one of the big lakes in north east oklahoma had a bad out break a couple years ago cause of drought and stagnant conditions.
