Pinching aquarium plants to get bushier

If I pinch aquarium plants, would they become bushy like land plants? xD i am reverting back to my horticulture training.

Yes. Use sharp scissors and cut right above the leaf node.

pinching works great for my petunias. Trimming for my aquatic plants. It encourages growth

You can pinch petunia's? interesting. I do it a lot with my jade plants.

Pinching means pinching off lateral buds off a plant to make it bushier.

Not sure how accurate this is, but I was under the impression it's called pinching cause a lot of times the plant is trimmed by pinching the stem twixt the fingernail of your thumb and the pad of your index finger (or vice versa, or similar...)

Yup, most stem plants will start two new shoots at the last node before the trim.
