Plants from emmersed to submerged

So I found a lot of Gymnocornis spilathoides emmersed in our backyard. I know it is one serious weed, but I like the light green leaves of it when submerged. So I clipped one stem and dump it in my tank. How long will it take to adjust? Its been 1 week there and I can see some small root growth, other than that no improvement.

My day is better whenever I buy a new plant.

Interesting, I wonder if I can find this plant where I live in Canada. Keep us updated on the results. I would like a plant which grows out of my tank.

Michel.

Plants and algae grower.

Well now, it dropped most of the bottom large old leaves. Still no new growth.

That maybe normal since it did go from emersed to submersed, hopefully, it will grow new leaves.

Yes it is starting to grow new leaves. The node which the old leaves drop is starting to grow tiny leaves!
