New plants low light how to tell if they are ok

So I got some crypts and they haven't turned to complete mush but the lighting is extremely low, I even see new sprouts coming up. What I'm wondering is are they ok, how long do they need to be in tank before I can really tell if they are going to be fine. They've been there for a good 2 weeks, but might they just die off in a month or is the fact that there are new sprouts a good sign?

Hello ct...

Crypts will grow much better in stronger light. Generally, aquarium plants take weeks to get used to new water conditions. They'll die back and then you'll notice regrowth. So, if you can, mark the places in the tank where you plant them. They look very poorly for some time and then most will regrow.
