Can Terrestrial Moss Grow Immersed?
So during Christmas I was wandering through the woods next to my house to get away from my family, and I found quite a lot of terrestrial moss growing on pretty much every surface. It looks like a dense java moss. I peeled some off the ground, rocks, and fallen timbers. No idea of species. Found it in Monticello, Illinois in a dry creek bed. It was growing on the north side of trees, go figure. Do you think this moss would grow immersed, or atleast not die?
back when i was experimenting with all kinds of crazy plants i tried moss from my yard. it actually started attaching to my gravel. i had to remove it because my goldfish got puff mouth (im assuming from tasting it), and i figure because it was from my yard with fertilizer and chemicals etc. i had cleaned it pretty good. oh well, you could try it in a seperate tank, like a hospital tank thats not being used.
