Plant ID

Thanks in advance. Obviously some kind of emmersed growth. LFS said it was called scarlet temple, but isn't scarlet temple just A. Reineckii?

The leaf should still be colored as far as I know. Your leaf looks more lobed or rounded at the tip than my plants.

A hybrid or another cultivar?

When I google scarlet temple only a bunch of replies about Alternanthera Reineckii come back. I don't have a clue what this could be.

Alternate leaves. Not Alternanthera or Nesaea. Looks a bit like emersed Ludwigia inclinata, but I'm not sure. You'll find out soon enough.

Alternanthera reineckii will grow submerged and emersed.

I agree with the others that this looks like emersed ludwigia

So it's a ludwigia species. Can we figure out which one?

Bam!!
Not only did I figure out how to do a screen shot on a MacBook Pro, which is running Windows XP, but I found the plant.

Believe it or not it is Ludwigia Inclinata var. Cuba, emmersed growth.

I must say I cheated by going back to the LFS and speaking with the owner. The original information I was given was referring to a different plant that he had gotten in that day and the lady confused the two. Came home and found a picture of someone's emmersed growth. This picture is cool because it shows both the emmersed and submersed form. Thanks for all the leads!
