dwarf lily's

Hey everyone,
I have a question about those lilly bulbs that walmart sells. Does anyone have a scientific name for them? or at least a family name. Do they stay really small? Are lilys the same as lotus's? thanks

I grew them for awhile, they seem slightly smaller than the lotuses I am currently growing.

Out 3 packs of bulbs only 2 bulbs grew, but they really took off. I couldn't get them to stop sending up floating pads so I eventually took them out.

I don't think they are worth the money if you can get ones that are already sprouted somewhere else. I found some at petsmart already growing for $2 each.

In my experience, their growth depends largely on light, keep them a bit shaded and their leaves with grow larger and not shoot to the surface as fast.

I haven't bought any at Walmart, the local store doesn't have them, just the apon bulbs, but the ones I've bought from other sources have always sprouted eventually, some do take a bit of time though.
