Plant ID

I have quite a few plants that I do not know the species of but I presently have one that is flowering. The flowers are very small and a lavender color. Can you ID this plant?

Thanks!
Brittney

I think it's a flower of some sort of rotala...Can't give you a species though. Someone with more skill might chime in though.

In R. indica, there can be short spikes at the nodes or just two flowers at a node, one above each leaf (Ammannia has an inflorescence called a cyme, with 3 flowers each, above each leaf).

Yes, it's the same plant. Rotundifolia means literally 'round leaves'. That applies to emersed leaves, not the submersed ones.
