[Q] Dwarf Hairgrass Planting

I ordered 15 Pots of Dwarf Hairgrass (Eleocharis acicularis) and have a few questions B4 I get it. I think i have exhausted most of the posts here and just want to make sure I have it down before I spend 2hrs planting them.

Remove from pots and plant in small bunches 1-3 (how deep?)
Trim after a few weeks/once they are established to encourage new runners.
How do you know if they are emersed/submersed when I get them?
They will have very little to no shade.

Some tank specs:
110gal (32 tall)
175x2 MH (have 2 96w PC that can be added)
100% flourite
Pressurized CO2 ~20-30ppm
Ferts: bulk powerded form CSMB, K2No4, etc..

you don't have to wait a week before you trim them. I trimmed mine before i planted it- less mess in the tank.

Sometimes they will have little seed pods type things on the top, like rice or wheat.

Question

Hi,

I noticed those seeds on top of the hairgrass. Do you still trim while this occurs? Thanks.

I just trim the tops off and plant them 10 per each "thing". Some grass is going to die in a week or two but you'll also have lots of runners.
