Plants only, what can I give up?
If I were to make a tank for just growing plants, what, if anything, can I skimp on?
Obviously, I need a tank, water, light and substrate[depending on plants.]
But do I need a heater, if the room stays above 70F?
Do I need a filter or anything to keep water moving?
Should I dose ferts, use CO2 and root supplements? I rather not go overboard with the dosing because I don't want to add work and $$ to this.
I'd like to have a long, short and narrow tank that's sectioned for different plants. Use the same lighting over each tank, four foot 80 watts light, resting on the tank that's hopefully about 1ft in depth. Would that be considered medium or high light?
This is a draft list of what I'm wanting to grow.
Aponogeton family, if I can get them to propagate.
