Shipping plants?

I'm about ready to put my first plants up for sale, I need to know how to package the plants so they arrive healthy. Thanks

Put the plants in a plastic bag, add a damp paper towel, put it in a flat rate box.

Yeah, because it's still good to keep them moist.

Key word there is moist, not wet. The healthiest plants i've received came in slightly damp paper towels or newspaper. The ones that came with excess water at the bottom of the bag typically didn't fare as well, but most still survived.

Is it okay to ship plants in ziplock bags?

Sure I have before, just use freezer bags, they are thicker and stronger. I also sill the bag with packing tape just in case.

Put the plants in a bag, make sure it is moist/damp whatever you want too say, push out all the extra air, seal (I have always used zip lock bags).

I have only lost plants when they were rapped in paper towels. I tend to not use paper towels anymore because of that.

I do damp (very well rung out) paper towels, in ziplock bags with just enough air to keep plants from being crushed. Then fill the gaps in the box with whatever I've got laying around, usually paper or some sort of insulation. Never had a complaint about plants not making it, even long trips.
