So I just got some Hygrophila lancea a last week. But now when I look up info on this plant I can find much out about it. When I search on the web I really don't see much about how people have grown this one.
It seems that it is also called Hygrophila sp. ''Araguaia'', or at least in this article it is and the plant looks like it.
Now mine seems to be growing in my tank or starting to. I will post pix later tonight but I will say that I have not successfully grown this plant yet so what I do might not be the best.
My specs on this one are:
~I have a 40breeder with med high/high light.
~I dose EI about 2/3rd of the dose or try.
~PH around 6.5 +/-
~Nitrate is 30ppm right now
~Phosphate is 1-2ppm
~kh is very low 2-3
~Gh - ???
~I use pressurized CO2
~I dose flourish 3ml comprehensive almost every other day
~I dose Flourish Iron 2x a week 3-4ml
~Change 50% of water every week
~I have very soft water here so my Gh is probably low, but I don't know.
Now I ask everyone here who grows this plant to give some specs and pix (if you can) about this nice plant in our community, so everyone can benefit from the information. There is just so little info out there about it, and I would like to compile some for everyone!
