Manicuring a Marsilea quadrifolia (or similar) lawn?

My Marsilea lawn is finally gotten nice and thick, and I'm quite happy with it. So, how do I keep it that way now? Do I just occasionally snip out bad looking leaves? Should I be "thinning" it (whatever that might mean) out periodically? Oh, what to do, what to do ?

I'm enclosing a current shot. As I just turned the lights back on, I caught a good bunch of MTS grazing as well as my favored Corydoras sterbai lounging on the lawn.

Brian.

How about techniques for maintaining similar plant lawns?

Looking for glosso maintenance routines, didn't turn up too much either. Here is one post: glosso maintenance

It doesn't seem to offer much in term of maintenance, other than uprooting it all and starting over . Not the answer I'd like to hear. But, then again, it likely is what it is!

I'd thin it out occasionally. I'd remove some of the older growth, or growth that is effected by algae to allow newer plants to fill in a little.

I think if you did that, you'd always have a healthy foreground.
