Cardamine lyrata question

Has anyone has success growing this plant in warmer water? I've read it prefers cooler (15 - 22C) but my 34G is approx 25C. Is 2 WPG enough too?

I collected some on a wetlands trip to south Bama this past spring and they all melted in my tank (78-80 degrees).

I got some of this as a freebie awhile back when made a substitution for something I ordered. My experience with it was consistent with what I've read - it survived in my tank (no melting) but the leaves grew in really small and far apart on the stem. It's a tough plant, but not terribly attractive under those conditions. Interestingly, an LFS here grows it in the "land" side of a paludarium they've got set up, and it looks great.

C. lyrata always liked the light for me. I grew it beautifully at 78F. but it could not be shaded at all or it grew badly...its a beautiful, "rarely" used plant these days it seems.

Yep, and I'm still up to my ears in it.

It is actually a cold water plant. In warm temps, particularly over 80, the leaves become smaller, over a period of months. It does seem to like a lot of light and C02. I have it on sale.

I observed the same thing as what Robert stated: my in 83F tank, it grew smaller leaves and thinner/brittle stems, but grew ok nonetheless.

Truvu 100g Flourite, wet/dry, AHSupply 302w PC, PinPoint controller
10gallon15w T6+15w T8
55gallon40w T6 ODNO4x, no CO2. Discus grow out.
10gallon Tonina tank, 2x15w T6 ODNO 4x
I will do aquascapes after I collect all the plant species and grow them to perfection.
