Worse online purchase

Normally I just look around the forum and don't say much but recently I thought something should be posted about experience I recently had with online store which sells aquatic plants. I made an order last Friday for little over $50 bought Ludwigia Repens, Alternanthera reineckii, Rotala indica, Plant booster and IRON. Order was sent out Monday and recieved to my door Wednesday. The Ludwiga was OK to my standards but the Alternanthera and Rotala was in very bad shape. Below are pictures of the plants. I won't release the name of the online store as it might break rules of forum policy however feel free to PM me to get info.
Keep in mind these stems where 5" or so with very few leaves.

Email the seller tell them you aren't satisfied. You may or may not get satisfaction but at least at that point you've done all you can. On the brighter side those stems look salvageable, you'll just be starting with smaller plants.

Those look like crap. Definitely contact the seller and and ask for a refund or reship. Those do look useable though. I have started with 1 or 2 leaved plants that grow fine.

Has the seller been around for long/ what's their feedback like? I once received a sub-par order from an otherwise reputable vendor. I sent them an email and got a response that they had a new guy in the packing dept. They apologized and sent me a bunch of great looking plants (more than I originally bought)

Even a good vendor may have a bad transaction once in a while. Seeing how they handle it will let you know what kind of company they are. I hope they make it right for you!

Wow.. thats pretty bad, especially since you spent a good amount on plants. I would definitely send an email or try to contact them and either get your money back or have them ship you more plants. You can cut them all the way down and plant the tops, but if I ever received something like that, Id be heated to say the least.

Good luck!

If you use paypal and don't get satisfaction from the vendor just open a dispute. Paypal is very buyer friendly if you don't get an item as described or is damaged. You probably don't need it, but If they had a sample picture of what you would receive you could show that to paypal with what you did receive as add'l proof.

Paypal will hold the money until resolved.

The seller should be ashamed honestly if they sent the plants in that condition. 2 days to your door I don't think you can blame shipping. That Ludwigia is ridiculous. How could someone in good conscience pack this up to sell?

I ordered some plants online a couple of weeks ago and I can tell you that they were nothing like that. They were huge, healthy full grown potted plants and not overly expensive. I'd say who they were, but it's a UK company and is probably not allowed anyway. What you were sent is a joke.

Its always a risk to ship something, even most of Local Fish Store is taking this risk when they purchase a wholesale thru online (sometimes no DOA policy)

Yours looks melting so bad, have you contacted the seller and see what he response? Most of reputable seller will taking this seriously.

Worst scenario, those plant can still growing. Both are stem plant.

Sorry to hear about your experience. You should have some recourse, if you pursue it.
