Hello everyone, hope you all are having a wonderful day enjoying your aquariums and all that good stuff.
The reason I'm starting this thread is because I'm planning to start a planted tank but I have absolutely no knowledge about aquarium plants and I would greatly appreciate some suggestions regarding what plants I can start with.
The setup I'm using is a 30G tank with that red clay substrate that I bought about about 3 years ago and where I only ever planted was one beautiful Madagascar Lace that ended up dying and some anubias that also died. For filtration I'm using a Marineland 200 with a bio-wheel that barely turns and for light I'm using a T5 of which I don't remember the amount of watts.
The way I want to set up the tank is to use that piece of driftwood as the main focus of the tank and also add a longer piece of driftwood running from the top of the main piece to the right side of the tank.
Regarding the plants I would like to put a tall and bushi plant behind the main wood to create some contrast and some smaller at the front of it. I would also like to put a medium plant behind the long non-existent piece of wood to create some depth and on the right side of the tank is would like probably a couple of Red-ish plants as well as some green ones. And finally some nice green carpet.
I know most of you will be thinking of easy low maintenance plants and that's fine but I also enjoy challenges. I'm also planing on setting up a paintball co2 System in the near future.
Thanks to everyone for everyone for taking the time to read this and for every advice you can give me!!
