Cabomba

Hi!

Cabomba plants grow slowly and often their stalks are break on separate pieces. Usually that is happened after the water changes.

Is any idea how to avoid that?

Thanks!

Cabomba should grow like a weed. You need to tell us about your water parameters before we can help you. What kind of lighting?

got CO2?

What is your water temperature as well. Cabombas like it a little on the cool side.

my water is 12dGH, 5dKH, t23C, pH7.2

cabomba get about 1000 lumen of light. It growths besides Limnophyla and Myriophyllum, these do well. Note my Cabomba devides its stalk after the water changes, I think that is not probmlem of light.

I have not checked for a while, but the pH is about 6.4, KH 4, GH 4 NO3 about 15ppm, PO4 about 1-1.5. Temp is about 74.

When you say it divides, do you mean that it starts to fork, or breaks off?

sorry for my English

I mean Cabomba break off on several pieces. In week or so its roots in gravel start new stalks, as well floating parts can grow. But why it behave in such way after waterchanges?

by the way, tell me what other species do you grow with Cabomba?

Cabomba

Okay, my cabomba grows like a weed and quickly gets out of hand if it isn't regularly trimmed. I don't keep much in my tanks right now because of that.

Two 1 GA desktops, a 5 gallon, a 2.5 gallon, a 10 gallon, a 20 gallon, a 25 gallon, and two 75 gallon tanks, all planted.
I am an expert on algae, so ask me if you have questions. I know how to grow it, just not how to get rid of it.
