Question Utricularia graminifolia Question

I just bought a medium sized portion of Utricularia graminifolia and someone said that you 'have to plant it blade by blade'. Honestly, that would drive me insane. Is this really necessary, or can I plant it in small clumps? If so, how many plantlets is recommended?

I almost couldn't tell where the stupid roots were!

whoever said plant by blade is just silly.
just stuff it in. it really has no roots. you could partially bury it if you wanted to. what would be better though is if you grew it emmersed then moved to immersed growth once the plant is established and grows in the soil.

I planted mine blade by blade after just leaving it all in a clump. The roots were not taking to the soil so well in a clump, but it was grown emersed and then I did not insert it into my own soil... Anyway, I'd advise planting it bit by bit. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it'd be. I used very fine/pointy tweasers and it went in right away and didn't come back out. Very nice.
It may work another way, this is just the way I did it.
