The answer is simple.... Keep your big tank just like it is...
and set up an awsome little 5 or 10 gal tank for your wife and stock her up with some cherries, and for her birthday, get her a few Crystal Reds.
I have a little set up like that on my night stand, and I love to go to sleep watching the little cherries by the light of a moon glo lamp.
