Substrate in the oven..?

I have heard you can put your substrate in the oven for a few hours and that will speed up the ammonia leech process before you put into the tank..?

As I have livestock and no where else to put them I have no other option to try this.

Also will be adding seacham prime everyday to also help..

Doing a little bit of research, it seems to release ammonia initially like ADA Aquasoil. My suggestion to you is to soak it in a large bucket or container and to change and replace the water daily until it no longer leaches ammonia.
