check your local turf distributors, like football/sports turf.

What timing. Mine just came in yesterday.
The Lesco near me had to order a pallet of the stuff (40 bags), but they are fine with just selling 2 bags. Could just be the local distributer. Do you have nother one near you to try?

I would explain that you only need two bags. Tell them more hobbyists will come thru to buy the bags. I asked for two bags, so my local lescos got a whole pallet. I would call other lescos in your area to see if they stock it - if so they might move it to your distributor to use.

That's what my local Lesco store said, too. I ordered one bag a few months ago with no problems, then ordered a second about a month ago ~ that's when they told me they had to order 40 at a time. The only difference in the two orders was I ordered the first bag online (opted for pickup at the store instead of shipping to me) and the store tried to order the second bag. The guy at the store told me to try to order one bag online again and see what happened. I haven't done that yet, but I wonder if that'd work in your case? Did you go to the brick-and-mortar store and have them put it in with their order? Or did you order it online?

I did call the Lesco in Traverse City and he's the one that told me I had to get a pallet of the stuff. He was very nice and did say he would do some searching for one bag of charcoal for me, tho.

I asked him "do you know what this stuff is being sold for" and he said FISH TANKS. LOL Apparently they know it's being used for that so you'd think they'd carry it.

Try to find a local John Deere Landscapes and give them a call. They might be able to get a bag or 2 for you.... my local branch did for me and the others in nearby states were willing to do the same.

May as well be in The Toolies for no more than is here. I'm in Cadillac between Big Rapids and Traverse City. You talk about fish here and they figure you are talking about:

1. smelt dipping
2. ice fishing
3. coho salman
4. trout
5. walleye

the lesco's in ypsilanti will order you just a bag for about 16 bucks, but Cadillac is pretty far out there.
