According to the calculator I will need 66 lbs. of Eco-Complete to achive a 3" substrate.
I've never seen Eco-Complete so I have no idea how fine this subtrate is, but if the calculator says I need 66 lbs. it must be very fine.
Would adding 50 lbs. of Eco-Complete and maybe 10 lbs. pea gravel or black sand work just as well for me, of should I get 3 bags of Eco-Complete?
Eco-Complete is being sold by my LFS for $24.99 for a 20# bag. Good price in my opinion considering if I order it online once you add shipping it comes out to almost the exact same in terms of cost.
