Fully filled 220 riparium setup....

So I have been contemplating adding some Riparium techniques back into my 220g. Not sure how heavy I want to go above water but it could get interesting.

Do you have a height limit? If you want to keep growing underwater plants you might need to keep the lighting pretty close to the water.

Sounds cool - following along to see what direction you go.

Everything underwater is low light so I'm sure I could raise my fixture to the ceiling and still get adequate par readings. Where it is now I can still pull almsot a 100 par at the substrate.

A mangrove theme could be cool. These plants are all pretty easy to grow, biologically intriguing and they look good together...
  • black mangrove
  • white mangrove
  • red mangrove
  • Cryptocoryne ciliata
  • leather fern
  • Pandanus tectorius

These will all grow just fine in fresh water. They don't need brackish conditions.
